Concerned with the protection of the local environment and amenities. Winter talks in October, November, February and March. Summer guided walks and annual outing in September.

The Society was first formed following a successful campaign against the opening of two golf courses over an area of the heathland East of Woodbury Castle. (This has nothing to do with the nearby Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club)

Woodbury Local History Society.
Aim to research the whole parish of Woodbury: its people, buildings and occupations from earliest days. Meetings are held every two months, comprising a talk and discussion, in Woodbury Village Hall (small room). Non-members are welcome to attend at a charge of 50 pence. During the summer months visits are made to places of interest within the Parish of Woodbury.

A local amenity society aiming to involve members in local environmental issues, to promote good standards of planning and to generate interest in the geography, history, natural history and architecture of the Parish. To raise funds to support village organisations and activities.
